Beothic Fish Processors
Beothic Fish Processors Ltd. (www.beothic.com) is a Newfoundland based company which was formed in 1967 that has processing operations on our North East Coast including one of the largest snow crab processing plants in Canada located in a community called Valleyfield (town of New Wes Valley).
Beothic Fish Processors were among one of the first to begin snow crab processing in Atlantic Canada and have since diversified their operations to adapt to the changes in the seafood industry. They currently operate a state-of-the-art multi-species processing facility where in addition to snow crab, they produce several pelagic and groundfish species inclusive of capelin, mackerel, Cod and turbot. They have a long history of producing top quality seafood products which has earned them an international reputation in key markets around the world.
Beothic has always maintained a strong focus on quality, food safety and sustainability throughout its history and has recently acquired MSC certification for their snow crab operation.
Association Cooperative des Pecheurs de l’ile
The Association Cooperative des Pecheurs de l’ile Ltd. (ACPI) (www.acpi-ifca.com) is located on the Acadian Peninsula of New Brunswick in the town of Lamèque. It has a long history in the seafood business and from its inception in 1943, have developed a culture of continuous improvement while adapting to the changes in the industry.
ACPI began to process snow crab in 1975 and have since diversified its processing operations to include a wider variety of seafood products, including coldwater shrimp, rock crab, and herring roe. ACPI is a leader in the processing of these species and has earned a reputation of supplying an international customer base with top quality seafood products.
Through their ongoing commitment to quality, food safety and sustainability they have acquired MSC certification for the coldwater shrimp and snow crab species and BRC certification for their Coldwater shrimp process.
Acadian Fishermen’s Co-operative Association
Acadian Fishermen’s Co-operative Association Ltd. (AFC) (www.acadianfishcoop.com) is located in Abram’s Village, a small fishing community on the south shore of Prince Edward Island, Canada. The company was formed in 1955 and is one of the largest processors of Lobster in Atlantic Canada.
AFC produces its products under the Acadian Supreme brand and has earned an international reputation as a producer of high quality seafood products. In addition to their core lobster species, they also offer scallops and crab meat and pride their selves in their ability to produce specialty custom packs to meet specific customer requirements.
AFC has experienced considerable growth throughout its history and currently operate in one of the most modern state of the art lobster processing factories in Canada. They have demonstrated a strong commitment to the values of quality, food safety and sustainability throughout their history and currently is one of a very select few BRC certified lobster and crab processing factories in Canada.
Les Pêcheries Marinard Ltée
Les Pêcheries Marinard Ltée is one of the largest cooked and peeled shrimp operations in Canada. They operate under the LA MARINIÈRE brand out of a state of the art processing operation located on the Gaspé peninsula at the edge of the Gulf of St. Lawrence in the town of Rivière-au-Renard, Quebec.
The company was formed in 1993 but has a long history of producing cooked and peeled shrimp at the current location prior to the formation of this company. The LA MARINIÈRE brand is a recognized leader for its quality by key customers in the UK retail and Scandinavian brining industries.
Les Pêcheries Marinard Ltée specializes in the production of cooked and peeled shrimp as this is the only product they produce and in 2011 they did a complete renovation of their processing operation which included installation of the latest technology available to make it compliant with the highest standards in the industry.
